THE MIDWEST SHINES IN AUTUMN. There are back roads to be driven, leaves to eye and small-town festivals to be discovered. Best of all, crowds are at a minimum. Saugatuck/Douglas, Michigan is a favorite midwestern destination from art meccas to woodsy retreats. Grab the atlas, pack the car and hit the road this fall & come visit. I can show you around & I guarantee you will fall in love with the area, as Pat & I pretty much did 3 yrs ago when we made the move from Naperville, Illinois.
New Yorkers have the Hamptons, Chicagoans have Saugatuck/Douglas. And Holland & South Haven. Anchored by our own Saugatuck/Douglas, this area of towns welcomes return visitors every fall for leisurely strolls along the gallery and boutique-shops downtown. Evening picnics on the beaches this time of year is spectacular & the magnificent fall colored drives along the roads stretching between these 4 towns will truely be memorable. Come book a long weekend at many of the B & B's we have to offer & explore the many galleries lining Saugatuck's & Douglas's Center Street. There are so many activities from Apple picking & pumpkin patches, corn mazes, chili cook-offs, kids pumpkin carving contest, artist gallery strolls & winery tours. Just log onto www.saugatuck.com or check my Calendar of Events out on my web site for the lastest up-to-date things to do!!! THE GREAT MIDWEST, brought to you by Pam & Pat. |
