HOLIDAY GREETINGS - sending out wishes for peace on this troubled earth as we deck out our Homes this Christmas Season.
I just finished delivering poinsettias plants to all my customers who bought homes from me this past year. I ask them, "How's the house?" as they anxiously show me around, & they say, "We Love it!" To see these families break in their new homes with their traditions for friends & family and how, I personally, made it happen in finding them their perfect Home, makes what I do feel really good! Sacred Places an article in U.S. News Special Issue, writes about Sacred Places we all have. They range from entire cities in the world to as small as having that one special room in your Home. What better way, than to celebrate Christmas than in your own Home with your love ones. |

"THE MURPHYS" LIVING THEIR DREAM! Winter has come here to Saugatuck/Douglas & you would have to knock me unconscious and drag me to leave this very special place on Lake Michigan's west coast. I would like to know what's on your mind about Second Homes & Vacation Properties! Here are three (3) easy ways to tell me: email:

November is here and with The Holidays fast approaching "The Murphys" have settled in nicely to the Saugatuck/Douglas area. Cool weather and shorter days. Don't Forget to Move your Clock back 1 hour on November 4th Daylight Savings Time!!!!! Our "Leap" from Naperville, Il to Michigan a year ago has been a rewarding experience both personally and business wise. "Leap!" What will we do with the Rest of our Lives? a book written by Sara Davidson is a contemporary look at the choices and challenges we face and roads open to us as a generation coming-of-age. My husband, Pat & I decided on how we wanted to spend our coming years. Our "Life" has played out like a Tony Award winning play. First Act was set in Chicago for 55 years. Second Act with "Winning Performances" in Saugatuck, Douglas, Michigan. Contact us by email to find out "Behind the Scenes" how we took the Risks, did the Research, tested the waters & how to "Trust your Instincts" in deciding where & how you want to spend the latter part of your lives. Dr. Andrew Weil says essentially the same about us booming genre: "Don't fight it. Get used to it. Accept and embrace it. Take care of your health and sanity while making the best of new opportunities." |

8 Ways to Green Up your Life! If you are ready to "green" your life, read on. 1. DRIVE LESS - give public transportation a try. Walk or bike when it makes sense or find a car buddy.
2. MAKE HOME ENERGY EFFICIENT - many homeowners don't recognize problems w/their home's performance in the overuse of heating and cooling appliances. Gas & electric companies can provide info or visit Home Energy Tune Up on the web to find energy inspectors by zip code. Build small and green when building a new home. My husband, Pat, of Patrick Murphy Homes, LLC will help design and build your "green" home to reduce the home's carbon dioxide emissions. |
